Future Things
Please do not let it be ignored,
What the future holds with the Lord;
For just like a thief in the night,
You will then be seeing the light.
When the Lord comes so many fears,
Just one day like a thousand years;
And a thousand years like one day,
Having faith to trust and obey.
Promises from God are not slow,
As so many people think though;
He is so patient for your sake,
Of the right time for it to take.
God wants no one to be destroyed,
But change where their mind is employed;
Changing the way they think and act,
That makes a spiritual impact.
The day of the Lord like a thief,
For the ones who have no belief;
Everything that they cherish,
Along with their life will perish.
It will be too late as one learns,
When all is destroyed as it burns;
As everything will vanish,
Nonbelievers He will punish.
So think now living godly lives,
Before Lord Jesus Christ arrives;
As you look forward to that day,
After His wrath has gone away.
