The Christian Mystery
I tell you of a mystery,
That will give us a victory;
Not all of us will ever die,
As far as death we will defy.
Let everyone be informed,
Because we will all be transformed;
Changed in the twinkling of an eye,
As the trumpet sounds from the sky.
That trumpet sounds and then the dead,
Will rise up from their coffin bed;
So that they can live forever,
The old body they will sever.
So the body that does decay.
Was corrupted and went astray;
Since it was tarnished with much sin,
To Heaven it cannot go in.
The immortal body is pure,
Able to enter through the door;
To Heaven where you see the gate,
Where Jesus will patiently wait.
So death turned into victory,
And no longer a mystery;
For what will death actually bring?
So we ask death, where is your sting?
Sin is giving its sting to death,
At the moment of that last breath;
The power of sin is the Law,
And the sting cleanses of the flaw.
