SNOWFLAKES MAKE SUCH A SILENT SOUNDSnowflakes as tears make a silent sound Today in my heart little solace is found For I remember a much happier day Sis and I outside in the snow would play It's been a few years now Jeri passed away On that cold January 17Th seems like yesterday I remember Mom being so sick and tired In the pain of deadly Cancer she was mired On January 19 she too well have passed away Two days after what once was the day of her birth Those days she shared with us filled with mirth As I look outside bitter snow is falling From outside kids playing snowflakes calling They say it is a record snow a foot or more I just look outside this day sadly I ignore ONE DAY A YEAR I SHED TEARS Trillions of Stars painting the skies Mere brushes for the Moon above Beauty found in an Angel's eyes Never dimming passion of Eternal love God saith: "Forget her as love unbourne!" For in your unmirrored eyes lays a fool Especial are the Stars you must mourne Falling from the skies in dazzling hues From this Earth I take in glowing flame Others left in the Galaxies to take their place Tyne eyes, thine motion, but to hear thy name Forever is the void no one can replace I alone of my immediate family watch the snow falling. Are these snowflakes or tears I'm bawling Tomorrow I know I must forget and move on But forgive me one day I feel I don't belong Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
