Mercy of God
I thank our Lord Jesus Christ,
His life on earth He sacrificed;
For giving us another chance,
And allowing us to advance.
He entrusted and appointed,
Me and with being anointed;
By Him for doing all the tasks,
That He comes to me and asks.
Doing His work and gives me strength,
To persevere at any length;
Ensuring that the job gets done,
Assuring victory is won.
In the past I was very grim,
Use to curse and persecute Him;
For I had a bad attitude,
By acting arrogantly rude.
But I was treated with His grace,
Giving a chance for saving face;
Showing me the way for relief,
Acting caddish for unbelief.
Our Lord was real kind to me,
He opened my eyes as to see;
That He came to save the sinners,
So that they could all be winners.
For I am the foremost in sin,
So I need Him to enter in;
Laud and glorify forever,
With a bond that will not sever.
