'' What In God's Name Have I Done ''
The good Lord came back to Earth one day,
To see what he had achieved,
Would his ultimate sacrifice still hold sway?
How would his presence be received?
His message of peace and good will to all,
Would seem to have disappeared,
His commandments no longer held any stall,
Things were much worse than he'd feared.
Murder and mayhem caused by sheer greed,
People dying for the want of a meal,
Nobody caring for those in great need,
While the injustices the rich just conceal.
The extinction of life on a massive scale,
Animal habitats being destroyed,
Wealth and riches are your Holy Grail,
While the truth you try to avoid.
Money is worshipped in any shape or form,
This is how your status is gauged,
Looking after yourself, is now the norm,
That left him feeling enraged.
Religion being used as an excuse to fight,
This is using the Lords name in vain,
Blasphemy and hypocrisy is what you incite,
Gods teachings you treat with disdain.
Killing has become a daily routine,
It's no longer a heinous act,
To murder for fun is totally obscene,
Hell awaits you, believe me that's a fact.
You spend billions of pounds on weapons of woe,
While millions die of thirst and cry,
What these arms can do, you'll never know,
For if used it's guaranteed you'll all fry.
It's time to go now the Lord is dismayed,
You're in a battle that can never be won,
For all my teachings it's contempt you've displayed,
