 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

ORANGE MARMALADE AND PASTRY


Between a splendid thought
and a single blade of grass
the glistening of morning wakes
presenting a dew drop kiss

The chiming of a distant bell
rings in a marmalade sunrise
and birds of paradise dance
with an ebb and flow of wind

Emerald clovers reach outward
climbing gently over cobblestone
where footfalls fell from past
ancestry strolled arm thru arm

A broken pane of glass embeds
upon a moss covered planter
and posies unfurl pastels
at every end of a rainbow

Returning to my morning coffee
and a flaky pastry and sunshine
upon my tingling exposed face
I relax with a windmill knowing
 
...I am one...with this peaceful place
