Here we worship God.
Knowing viewpoints may be diverse,
"one-nation-under-God" demands
respect for Him comes first!
Here the Bible rules,
laid the foundation for this land.
Rejecting its tenets will launch
self's destruction of man.
Here we cherish life
from the moment it is conceived
until God summons its spirit,
lest its rights be aggrieved.
Here there is freedom,
our imperfections we confess
but if hope is our true vision
values will not digress.
Here we are unique,
share distinctions without disdain,
but traits that ripened our appeal
must surely be maintained.
Here we share a pride
from where we were to where we are,
and those who cannot do likewise
have options to depart.
Here cannot be there.
Qualities we have come to know
yielded those countless victories
so spirits don't grow cold.
There is no there here,
equilibrium is a goal
the best of then, the best of now;
yesterday's stories told.
As long as here is here,
we'll stand in faith, shunning despair.
We'll follow the same loving God,
but let there be there.
