Slaves to Sin
Do not let sin reign in your life,
Lighting your hidden desire;
They are filled with the grief and strife,
That is released from the fire.
There is no doubt you are a fool,
When you are obeying your lust;
And allowing the sin to rule,
While putting in all your trust.
There should ever be part of you,
Offered to the power of sin;
For once it has entered into,
It is building its throne within.
You are not for ungodly things,
Your body should never be used;
For casual pleasure it brings,
And may cause it to be abused.
Do you not know you are a slave,
When you obey another one;
And your master will dig a grave,
When decay of your soul is done.
Offer yourself onto the Lord,
To overcome death and revive;
Then live with Him in one accord,
And thank God that you are alive.
Offer your whole body to God,
As well as your mind and your soul;
From your heart give honor and laud,
Allowing Him to be in control.
