Time Once Aglow
The monitors display the case
Between the beeps lays within grace
Yet still in this, mercy does reign
Though in ourselves, feel not the same
She is but four, life fleeting fast
Turn wish you could, paging the past
From birth into a world her dreams
Are playing now stretched at the seams
Seams of life that wear with age
But not with hers as many say
Too young to be, too young to go
Like this, pondered of your life's glow
She came to be for a short while
Laughter and chase seems like the smiles
That once were yours, no longer are
As too wishes, upon the stars
Breathing now deep, you choke up now
To hold to life, to her somehow
As beeps become few in between
Alarm sounds now, on prayer lean
Revived attempts before your eyes
Become failure and too goodbye
Holds now your hand, holds now you heart
As time did end and she'd depart
You sit bedside and brush her hair
With hands that held when naked bared
A daughter yours as life became
This seed of love, though not the same
In passing now you've come to know
How precious was, time once aglow
