The gate opens one way
leading to the Kings crown
The arches bending and beckoning
To come within and fill the kings ransom
I see evil in the shadows within
The pavement bare but for mist
Would not the gate be closed behind
But for the benches nothing to welcome
Those peasants beyond the Lords gate
Yes I be a Republican for I work not beg
Nor am I blind to the Democrats free gifts
For this country once free is now
Taken from me by a evil promise
For I well not be fooled by promises
As the black widow takes in her web
Those weary travelers seeking comfort
For inside is the promise of a Democrat
Who would take from those who work
And give to those waiting inside in idleness
Don't pith off a Republican who made this country
today with hard work what it is today
Not hiding in stealth behind false promises
