Slothful versus Righteous
A righteous person comes no harm,
As God protects them with His arm;
His arm is exactly like a shield,
And hand like a sword makes them yield.
But the fool has lots of trouble,
Going through life as they stumble;
Lips that lie just disgusts the Lord,
Whose warnings are being ignored.
God loves people, who are sincere,
Honest people that hold Him dear;
To His eyes they are a delight,
Being a blessing in His sight.
Foolish minds preach stupidity,
And have such an audacity;
Never admitting they are wrong,
Being so stubborn and headstrong.
Hard working hands will gain control,
Having satisfaction in their soul;
While doing a job well done,
Which pleases the Father and Son.
But lazy hands work as a slave,
As he slowly digs his own grave;
And the slothful will stop his chore,
When being tempted by a lure.
A lazy man catches not his prey,
Because he always goes astray;
And never worries if the path,
If God waits to pour out His wrath.
