In the beginning he created heaven and earth
An eternal place beyond man's comprehension
The trumpet shall sound and then the ascension
With God the creator, of heaven and earth
I stare out the window at winter's play station
Icy winds fogging the pane
Zigzaging between sleet and rain
Bubbled trinkets, entrapping my imagination
Rain shaped wonders playing here and there
Winds begin to flirt amid tones of white
I curl up inside, my face against the night
Observing icicle fingers, designed with a flair
Colors that summon from a lighthouse nearby
God's creations become winter's unfurling
A sheet of ice stars in the heavens twirling
As his words are forming this season's eye
We read where God rested on the seventh day
All things around me speak of his existence
'For God so loved,' tho' met with resistance
'But every knee shall bow' on Judgement day
