Unity Plea
I urge in the name of the Lord,
Not to let these words be ignored;
Stop living as other people,
And start living per the Gospel.
Your mind gets set on worthless things,
Only a little pleasure brings;
And then when the pleasure does cease,
Your heart and mind are not at peace.
You just can never understand,
What the laws of God do demand;
With obsession into a game,
God is not first as you proclaim.
As you play on into the night,
It is keeping you from the light;
It is evil where you embark,
Playing the forces of the dark.
All they will give you is more strife,
Since they exclude you from the life;
With ignorance and stubbornness,
Keeps God from giving blessedness.
No insight of a sense of shame,
And no guilt for you to proclaim;
Because what the game has brought,
Only the dark side it has taught.
You had been taught to change your way,
Not for showing to go astray;
A child of God you should live,
And God is willing to forgive.
