The Distractions of Satan
You must have the right attitude,
And not be arrogant or rude;
So go find the ability,
To go serve with humility.
Be humbled by the might of God,
Remember to honor and laud;
And when the day that He comes through,
He will come for honoring you.
Give your anxiety to God,
He will mend you where they have gnawed;
So your mind is alert and clear,
Knowing that He is always near.
Your opponent is the devil,
Who is filled with so much evil;
He prowls like a roaring tiger,
Having so much scourge and anger.
He looks for the right day and hour,
For someone he will devour;
And he will stalk you like a prey,
For striking when you go astray.
Be firm in the faith and resist,
Do not allow him to persist;
Knowing others throughout the earth,
Suffer the same since their rebirth.
God shows you His kindness and grace,
With a willingness to embrace;
As Christ will be making you strong,
To abide as pain does prolong.
