His Promises
Do not ever be afraid,
For your Lord God reclaims you;
And you will never be betrayed,
For He is faithful and true.
The Lord has called you by name,
Because you belong to Him;
And so you need to proclaim,
For others not to feel grim.
When you have gone out to sea,
The Lord will remain with you;
Like a lighthouse He will be,
For the hazards to get through.
When you walk through the fire,
He ensures you will not burn;
God keeps you from desire,
Given blessings you will earn.
He is the Lord our God,
And also is your Savior;
That you should honor and laud,
Looking on you with favor.
He already paid the price,
Because He has so much love;
So the Father did sacrifice,
His Son on the cross thereof.
So fear not you are rescued,
Because the Lord is with you;
He will bring those who elude,
Insight so they can construe.
