The Privileges of the Godly
Hear of what I have done,
For who are far away;
Victory has been won,
No need for you to stray.
So acknowledge my might,
You people who are near;
The Lord will give insight,
So no need for to fear.
Sinners are terrified,
Trembling grabs the sinner;
Knowing the crucified,
Has become a winner.
Can any of us live,
Through a fire that burns;
And able to forgive,
For the burnt out caverns.
Whoever does it right,
And speaks the truth will live;
For his power and might,
Is from the Lord who gives.
Extortion he rejects,
Refuses to take bribes;
But he never neglects,
For what the Lord prescribes.
Never wanting to kill,
Or evil things to do;
He just wants to instill,
The Scriptures to construe.
His eyes will see the King,
Within a far off land;
The beauty He will bring,
And light at His command.
