When we wake each morn
A new day is born
The morn is fresh and brand new
Lilacs moist with morning dew
Don't just sit around feeling blue
Too many things to do
There are choices to make
Should we walk along the lake
What about that heartache
Oh! for goodness sakes
As sure as the sky is blue
This day is a gift to you
Did you hear the birds sing
Lovely music and songs they bring
Did you see the golden sunrise
Why not open your eyes
Get the most out of each day
Look at the trees dance and sway
Don't waste time
Too many mountains to climb
Oh! beautiful green blades of grass
Enjoy this day while it last
