Saved by Faith
You are the foundation of God,
The temple where you give Him praise;
As you give Him honor and laud,
And singing joyfully always.
A skilled and experienced man,
Who is getting the project done;
According to His building plan,
That His only Son had begun.
I use the gift God had given,
In laying a new foundation;
Which was handed down from Heaven,
And was wrapped in my salvation.
Someone else is building on it,
So each person must be careful;
No short cuts what they inherit,
Unto the plans remain faithful.
The day will make what each one fares,
Clearly seen since fire reveals;
Whose name that the book of life bares,
At the opening of the seals.
The fire will show the quality,
Of the craftsmanship that was done;
If with flaws of iniquity,
No good for the Spirit or Son.
For your body is the temple,
In you the Spirit of God lives;
And being one of His people,
You know that He also forgives.
