'' Peace Of Mind ''
Life is so short it requires respect,
Before you're aware it has gone,
In truth all the knowledge that you collect,
Will determine how your life moves on.
Respect for all others now that is a must,
Regardless of colour or creed,
To be judged on either is so unjust,
Truth is it's each other we need.
Never look down on a fellow being,
Though they may be down on their luck,
That could be you so don't be all seeing,
Or you may well become unstuck.
There'll be choices to make you cannot avoid,
Some good while others are bad,
If your intentions are true you must not feel annoyed,
Though there'll be times it may make you feel sad.
Families and friends you must treasure,
They are your most valuable resource,
They can and will give you pleasure,
You must ensure they stay the full course.
Treat your partner with love and good cheer,
Your children will know if you do,
Try to teach them a life without fear,
For one day they will turn into you.
An important part in your life is to toil,
Earning a wage will fill you with pride,
Be it building planes or tilling the soil,
Working hard does much more than provide.
Life is so precious is a fact you must learn,
To survive we all have our reasons,
From fish to mammals to that beautiful fern,
Through our yearly cycle of seasons.
If you strive to be honest you will not go far wrong,
Remember your life is for living,
If you do go astray it doesn't take long,
To find out life can be so unforgiving.
God gave us a gift we must strive to cherish,
To enter Heaven we all have a chance,
If we ignore his teachings we'll surely perish,
Against evil we must all make a stance.
Stay true to your morals and don't ever stray,
If to all others you try to be kind,
There will be times you won't get your own way,
But ultimately you'll gain,
