Why don't we ever LearnHow far have we advanced since we existed in our cave, In spite of our civilisation, we know not how to behave, Do we still act as inhumane and evil to our own fellow man, Declaring war on one and other and destroying what we can, Ethnic cleansing, a euphemism for a most dreadful deed, To justify one's personal right over another's faith or creed, Having not learned how to share with our sister and our brother, Most animals hunt for basic food and never do that to each other, Could it be ignorance or stupidity, is it an inability to learn, Regardless of your miserable excuses it's an area for concern, We just let the innocent starve and die, this murder has to cease, Why the hell should we win the war, we're unable to win the peace, I don't care what your credo is, or if your excuse is purely greed, While in this sad world of suffering, few are willing to intercede, Get your head into gear, it's your pitiful excuses that are the crime, This poems tells a lamentable tale, my angry statement is the rhyme Act not React So don't just sit there contemplating what could have been, You're gifted with the power and spirit to change this scene Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
