By Nature
One time you had no hope,
In the world without God;
And unable to cope,
Being tattered and flawed.
But now through Jesus Christ,
Who seemed so far away;
Now has been sacrificed,
Through Him no longer stray.
So He is our peace,
Where the deep roots do grow;
With a fruitful increase,
That a Christian should know.
Christ brought each of us back,
One body by His cross;
Giving us what we lack,
For a gain not a loss.
He came with the Good News,
For the ones far away;
That Gentiles and Jews,
No longer have to stray.
So you now have no fear,
Since we are now as one;
For all have been brought near,
Now rooted through His Son.
No longer being alone,
Built on His foundation;
Christ as the corner stone,
Giving you salvation.
