Teaching Truth
You know all that I have taught,
As well as my way of life;
The purpose that I have sought,
My endurance through the strife.
You know the patience within,
Continues to persevere;
Blocking the entry of sin,
Because my love is sincere.
I endured persecutions,
Since the Lord had rescued me;
While showing solutions,
Opening my eyes for to see.
Some things must be sacrificed,
When living the godly life;
And trusting in Jesus Christ,
Expect the toils and strife.
But there are phony preachers,
That will go from bad to worse;
They are misleading teachers,
That teaches a dreaded curse.
Keep using what you have learned,
Since it was found to be true;
For the value it has earned,
Has been priceless unto you.
You know the Holy Scriptures,
Since your time as a kid;
So beware of the vultures,
Are tough for you to get rid.
