The Duties of a Minister
I feel like I have been forsook,
All around me while I look;
I pray that God will not condemn,
Since I was deserted by them.
But I know He does not condone
That I was left here all alone;
The Lord stood by me giving strength,
To persevere the total length.
Then I could still spread the Good News,
To both the Gentiles and Jews;
For all of the nations to hear,
And know that the end is soon near.
I was snatched up out from the mouth,
Of a lion down in the south;
The Lord rescued me from all harm,
Protecting me with His strong arm.
He took me up to His Kingdom,
And filled my head with His wisdom;
For the first time I felt secure,
And no temptation to lure.
Christ delivers from evil deeds,
As He caters to all my needs;
And providing His gentle touch,
Because He loves us all so much.
That love would not even sever,
For His Glory is forever;
So His message I will still preach,
Ensuring this world I will teach.
