Penitence
Seek the Lord as He may be found,
And listen closely for His sound;
Call on Him while He is near,
For you will have nothing to fear.
Let the evil give up their ways,
The wicked one no longer strays;
Let them abandon their thought,
Which follows pleasure that they sought.
Allow not my words be ignored,
And let them return to the Lord;
He will show His mercy and grace,
After ruing He will embrace.
Let them return to our God,
Start giving Him honor and laud;
Because He will freely forgive,
Showing compassion for to live.
Our thoughts are not as the same,
For the thoughts that I do proclaim;
As your ways are the same as mine,
That causes my glory to shine.
For Heaven is higher than earth,
Where Christ can see our true worth;
And knows that my ways are higher,
Than yours could ever acquire.
So the same also for my thoughts,
For us the sins are just like blots;
But the blots can be washed away,
As long as you trust and obey.
