"The Ghost Within Us"
A ghost is in us all
Its known as “Me”
Point to your chest “Me”
It stays inside
'till the body dies.
Most for three score
and ten years,
or more.
Then in the end
the spirit can move on
into the light,
or stay.
If it stays
it becomes a ghost.
A ghost may be on a mission.
But for some reason
Which we are not told
It cannot talk to us as a soul.
So it leaves clues
Footsteps upstairs at night.
Doors slamming or
rattling dishes.
What on earth
are his wishes?
It has a message
That must be known.
So we sit at the table
Sorting out the clues.
Then after we
review them all,
A million dollars
stuffed in the wall !
YOU ROCK !
We yell out loud.
As he walks into the light.
Now things shall be quiet
Quiet at night…
