BETWEEN THOUGHTS


Here's to another chapter:

To the failure of capture
the infamous chase

A cat and mouse story
and their trivial pursuit
for the tease inside a cheddar
cheese world...

Here's to an imperfect:

Massacre of a common thought
or to our unconventional lip movement
whispering upon ring tones

Justifying weird and odd
embracing the rejected...

Here's to:

Preoccupied presumptions
and genuine hype
all about nothing
or a fist full
of elaborate insight

Breaking news
the wick that burns
at both ends
to a shot of botox
and a disappointed outcome...

Here's to just:

Search and release
hooked and wounded

Suffocated fire
the flick of your tongue
a watered down drink

The price of an assumption
bright pink cheeks
enfolding for purpose
unfurling for a new day...

Here's to you and I:

and the exploration
of mystery and manipulation...
