 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

STARRY KNIGHT

Will you drink from the same
flute of crystal thoughts
will you write magical words
underneath an ash grin
of a crescent moon

Would you consider
seeing my flickering candle
dripping upon an memorable
cobalt blue bottle of wine
that I wished we both
had drank from

Can you know this
that you have brushed across my soul
with each stroke of your hand
with each letter left in concrete
fore-giving secrets of your life

I'm sure you have no inclination
that I imagine my eyelashes
pressed softly against your cheek
and that I imagine myself
as these beautiful women
that you have spoke of

Did you know
my heart flutters
with thoughts of you
and suffers the truth
of being without

I ponder those generous fruits
that we might of shared
that forest of wonder
and that cozy cabin
that you might of carved
by your strong but gentle hands

I shall share with you
that daydreams let me smile
but by shimmer of first star
I retire beside a cold wall
curled inside a existence
of just being

Could you have known
my emotions have trembled
I drown alone inside my depths
within my pool of tears and fears
I have swallowed what remains
these tendrils of loneliness
braid my heart strings

My book of life
is just this
-empty
perhaps my story
here and now I know
I shall meet the eyes
behind chapters that I have seen

I will have collected
you between those pages
where eternity is written
and encapsulated forever
suspended inside a star of memories
of fond... what ifs

In end... I have known
you from a distant world
we have always been attached
as I know this pronounced ache
my skin is wide awake with sensation
that it has touched yours
at least... once
from... afar away... place...
