Peace with God
There was a point of time,
When we were so helpless;
We were weak doing crime,
While things looked hopeless.
Christ had come and He died,
For ungodly people;
On the cross crucified,
Now we spread the Gospel.
If someone who would die,
For another is rare;
Then in a tomb they lie,
Since another did care.
Maybe if one is good,
Someone has the courage;
But for a sinner would,
Sounds more to discourage.
But since God did condone,
For allowing the blood;
Approval from the throne,
To cleanse sins in its flood.
So the death of His Son,
Relationship restored;
Has bridged us to be one,
The Father of the Lord.
Where once that we were foe,
God had suffered the loss;
To let the blessings flow.
That is bridged by the cross.
