Straight To The Heart. By Sherri Whittaker

Seeing Me

As I look into my mirror
I wonder, what does she see
The woman in my mirror
Who is looking back at me

What does she see in my eyes
As she glares so strong at me
What does she see in my face
Is it even close to what I see

Can she see the stress
That I feel on the inside
Or does she see the mask I wear
That makes stress easy to hide

Does she see the love
That I feel for all those around
Or does that feeling show
Can it be seen or even found

Does she see my tears
Or do I hide that pretty well
Can she see my smile
And all the stories it can tell

When I look into my mirror
I see all that she can be
And then I smile and realize
I’m really just seeing me
