DEPARTED
I thank the Lord all the time,
Who guides me from doing crime;
That is why I am not grim,
My mouth will always praise Him.
Let it not it be ignored,
My soul will boast of the Lord;
The oppressed will hear my voice,
And be able to rejoice.
Praise onto His greatness with me,
To the highest honor be;
And continue to proclaim,
Together praising His name.
I have never been afraid,
Going to the Lord for aid;
He answers me as He nears,
And rescues me from my fears.
All that look at Him will see,
Such a radiant glory;
Their faces holding no shame,
As they glorify His name.
A poor a man that called out.
His faith had carried no doubt;
Never once did he grumble,
And was saved from his trouble.
Taste and see the Lord is good,
Helping me through as I should;
And I am not feeling grim,
Since I took refuge with him.
