Beyond Human Understanding
My heart pounds jumping out of place,
Seeing that God is sending His grace;
I feel my soul start to rejoice,
Hearing God the roar of His voice.
From the rumble off of His tongue,
Through the air as His words are flung;
It is like thunder of a storm,
While in the clouds the words form.
God flashes lightning from His eyes,
Just like fire filling the skies;
Everywhere under heaven,
Ensuring that fear is given.
Light flares to the ends of the earth,
As roar of thunder given birth;
My body trembles to rejoice,
With hearing His majestic voice.
God does not hold the lightning back,
For the power it does not lack;
He thunders in marvelous ways,
As the clouds turn to shades of gray.
Such great things we see on this land,
That we can never understand;
From the fallen rain to the snow,
How we see all the rivers flow.
Whether for good or discipline,
A reminder never to sin;
So when He makes a storm appear,
The One we should always revere.
