The Purpose
The Word that was from the start,
Has rooted into your heart;
And like flowers in the spring,
Start to bloom while you sing.
But they will wither and die,
If you start to cheat and lie;
And you begin to destroy,
Turn to sorrow that was joy.
We have heard and have seen,
What is now and that has been;
As we observe also touch,
As this life reveals so much.
We have seen and testified,
On Christ being crucified;
But we do not understand,
As we walk on sinking sand.
What is everlasting life,
Being in the midst of strife;
While living for a goal,
In trying to save your soul.
The life we have seen and heard,
While reading in the Word;
What we must become to be,
For eternal life to see.
For our relationship,
Is set that we do not trip;
And purpose with the Father,
Through Christ our Brother.
