LAMED
His Word is rooted forever,
And established up in Heaven;
For which the Word will not sever,
To us from God it is given.
His faithfulness always ensures,
Through every generation;
Makes certain that the earth endures,
To live in continuation.
All things will continue to stand,
Since His servants are all of us;
For we abide by His command,
As we have been instructed thus.
If His teachings not make me glad,
Then I would have died in sorrow;
For I lose hope when I am sad,
Since I will not see tomorrow.
I cannot forget His precepts,
Giving new life as they guide me;
His blessings for one that accepts,
A new pair of eyes for to see.
I have searched for His principles,
For guiding me through all the strife;
And be one of His star pupils,
Through the remainder of this life.
Evil has been waiting for me,
Killing me is their desire;
And as blind as a bat can be,
To throw in the lake of fire.
I want to understand the Law,
And be able to set limits;
So never again get a flaw,
While changing my bad habits.
