THE SEASONAL CHANGES WE FACE EACH YEAR

The leaves are still green on our trees
Which surprises me each morning to no end
I've been watching for the change of colors

We've already had frost pay us a visit here
And several nights it's even been in the 30's
waking up with an early frost on the windows

As this has happen in the past to our trees
They rapidly have changed from summer green
And we'll soon see those blazing fall colors

It's a beautiful time with breath taking views
For several weeks the blazing colors will last
Then October winds will strip this view away

Eventually leaving us with that doomsday look
Trees will then be left stripped and very barren
Becoming ghostly stick figures reaching skyward

Yes I do love the change of seasons each year
But then winter comes with it's snow & it's ice
Heavy drifting and blowing snow Bah Humbug!

Winter is the one season that I could easily forego!
