Miracles take timeThrough many years of trying, Piper decided to pick the date A long awaited arrival, as miracles come to those who wait. More precious than any possession, more precious than all the gold, So fragile a little bundle, the greatest treasure you'll ever hold, You will marvel at her little fingers, you will count her little toes, She will surprise almost daily, passing milestones as she grows, Enjoy her being a baby, Piper's very cute and she knows it too, Say goodbye to the peace and quiet a tranquillity you once knew, Now daily discovering that love has a bond as strong as steel, To keep her safe and protect her, you will feel what she will feel, You will know the meaning of a blessing, in her cry, in her smile, She'll wrap you round her finger, and you will love it all the while, You are a family now, enjoy it, for she'll grow up before your eyes, With grandparents there to guide you, they are older and their wise, We know you will love your little miracle, a love that goes so deep, No greater gift can befall you, this precious darling in your keep Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
