SLEEPLESS NIGHTS






SLEEPLESS NIGHTS



We have all had the conversation
Of asking someone `how they slept`
They replied `they slept like a baby`
A matter for which they have no concept.



Ask any Mother how her baby slept
`It doesn`t` would be her tired reply,
She`d been up several times at night
Whenever she heard her baby cry.



So we can nodoubt safely assume
When they say `I slept like a baby`
That they don`t usually have one
Or they wouldn`t say this you`ll agree.



For we know that when night falls
Babies days and nights are reversed
Instead of sleeping they have you up
Their Mum knows they have to be nursed.
