From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
I close my eyes
They paint a picture of you
An image so translucently pretty
Over here making up words
But they make so much sense to me

Your ordinary smile that you add extra to
Brightens my days adding to my youth
Beauty with an insanely amount of truth
All this and more I find in you

Through those sapphires I see
Not too much has changed
Other than how they shine
Jewels upgraded to stars
And all I can think is
How Beautiful You Are

I call them my painkillers
You have no idea
How good they make me feel
Stuck on this high and never coming down
So don't stop the prescriptions please

Trying to get into your heart
But seems like I need encryption keys
The minute we held hands though
The lines of our lives connected

So I'm trying to etch my name into your heart
And hope you wear it on your sleeve
So everyone can see what the inscription reads

Our journey far outweighs any
Than I could have ever expected
Sowing seeds; ready to reap
Still in this free fall after I leaped
Or should I say leapt

So many written
With more than enough left
Your attention, your beauty
But mostly your heart
I hope to have kept
