This will be a terrible day,
For the day of the Lord is near;
The day that those who go astray,
Will be the day that they will fear.

It will come like demolition,
Food disappears before your eyes;
Joy and gladness in omission,
From all the deceit and the lies.

 Seeds shrivel up within their shells,
As the storehouses are destroyed;
Fire burns homes where each one dwells,
Heat too intense for to avoid.

The creatures are dazed as they groan,
Herds of cattle wander confused;
Looking like just flesh and bone,
Acting as if they were abused.

No more pasture or grazing land,
Brooks and streams completely run dry;
All of the ground has turned to sand,
No tears can come trying to cry.

Even the suffering flocks of sheep,
No longer do they make a sound;
Since they are dying in their sleep,
Having no more shepherds are around.

Still we must give our thank you,
To the God who is our Lord;
For He will help and see you through,
And your cries will not be ignored.
