Earthly Lust
There is no one really exempt,
From the earthly lust which will tempt;
Satan is a powerful foe,
That controls them from down below.
Pursue in what the Lord approves,
Which I reflect on since it behooves;
Pursue the faith the love and the peace,
Which will allow stress to release.
Worship the Lord with a pure heart,
Engrave His Word as to impart;
Do not be foolish and argue,
Which causes a quarrel in you.
You must be kind to everyone,
Your attitude is as the Son;
So listen be a good teacher,
As well as a good preacher.
Be gentle with opposing views,
Those who differ on the Good News;
May God get them to change their way,
So they no longer go astray.
Please lead them in knowing the truth,
So they no longer are uncouth;
And God will free them from the snare,
That the devil keeps in his lair.
You will have to go suffer long,
Letting the agony prolong;
And as long as you do abide,
God is willing to be your guide.
