Love Not the World
I write to you because of sin,
Were corrupting you deep within;
But now you have been forgiven,
Through Jesus Christ up in Heaven.
I write to you for you know Christ,
Knowing why He was sacrificed;
And who existed from the start,
As with His words that you impart.
I write to you since you have won,
Winning over the evil one;
Because of your belief in Christ,
You are no longer now enticed.
I write since you know the Father,
And having Christ as your Brother;
To whom you do honor and laud,
Within the family of God.
I write to you for you are strong,
Though the agony does prolong;
The Word of God lives within you,
Giving you strength to see you through.
Do not begin loving this place,
This world is a sinful disgrace;
What it offers is just evil,
With temptations from the devil.
If you love the world you hate God,
And you are finding yourself flawed;
The Father cannot send His love,
Unto you from Heaven above.
