The Lord said to spread the Good News,
Show them they have a right to choose;
They can either go love the Law,
Or live and then die with their flaw.
The Lord said that I should be paid,
But I just want it be conveyed;
The whole contents of the Gospel,
Throughout the earth to all people.
Why should I even earn a living,
Off a God that is forgiving;
I would just die to be exact,
For I brag not which is a fact.
If I am spreading the Good News,
I am reflecting my own virtues;
For anyone may have a doubt,
I have nothing to brag about.
But because of my salvation,
I do have an obligation;
How awful if I did not spread,
That I would wish that I were dead.
Since it is coming from the Word,
I know I will have my reward;
So I will continue to spread,
About the One whose blood was shed.
I spread the Good News willingly,
Being enthusiastically;
If I were reluctant to share,
My reward I could not declare.
