When Christ came into the world, A plan was being unfurled; For one sacrifice, One body to suffice. Since God wanted to remove, No longer would He approve; Of burnt offerings for sin, Would be cleansing them within. Sacrifices would not be, The same as for all to see; For now it would be just One, So the Father sends the Son. Jesus Christ has come for all, As the sacrificial fall; He has come to earth to do, The cleansing of sin for you. He comes what you desire, To douse the sinful fire; And for all who do believe, Eternal life you receive. You want not burnt offerings, So give praise as the bird sings; Nor sacrifices for sin, Let His Spirit cleanse within.
