Poetic-Verses

'' Selfishness Is Far Worse Than I Feared ''

I love my life being perfect I do,
For me nothing ever goes wrong,
I am one of a very rare few,
In bliss is where we belong.

In life I've never made a mistake,
Not one you could ever detect,
Some would say my life is opaque,
I would say that is incorrect.

I don't tolerate idiots or silly fools,
Who they are is for me to decide,
As for contradiction I make the rules,
This attitude no one will deride.

I don't have a conscience nor feel any shame,
That is a problem for others,
Never in my life will I accept any blame,
My attitude the truth it smothers.

Even when wrong I will always be right,
That is the meaning of life,
By listening to me you will see the light,
This way there is no room for strife.

Perfection comes easy to people like me,
Criticism is an alien conception,
Nor do I care if you don't agree,
I can live with my constant deception.

For your opinions I frankly don't care,
Regardless of who it upsets,
On a daily basis I get the evil stare,
But I still don't have any regrets.

One day from my contempt I could no longer hide,
I erred and my God did I pay,
My incompetence they could no longer abide,
They cast me to the side without a say.

On that day my world came crashing down,
My life into chaos now descends,
It really hurts to have lost my crown,
My arrogance has cost me family and friends.

Hindsight is not such a wonderful thing,
Bad memories cannot be changed,
Ignorance of others can and will only bring,
That knowledge that it's you who's deranged.

I'm now down and out with nowhere to go,
The good life has completely disappeared,
As I stand here in tears no one wants to know,
