Mirage
First light,
Last light,
You are never in-between.
Put on your mask,
Soar and then crash,
And know not what they see.
Take you, as they will,
You are theirs, to all but kill.
Take you, to a place,
In a life,
You won't face.
First come,
First serve,
They'd normally have a lot of nerve,
But how can you still blame them?
You can't shed the skin you are in,
When we all know who you are,
It doesn't have to be the end…
…But how will you begin again.
In a place where no one knows you?
The change can only come from within.
