 A Succession of Haiku's 2009
Haiku for Ghuey

Gold saturnine eyes,
grey master of knowing smiles,
ruffed shadow crouches.

---
Reed Haiku

Hollow sliver green.
Swaying shifting in a stream.
You stand high, but how?

---
Haiku for a St Croix River Barge

Measure the River.
Two yardstick barges sighing.
Steady chug mark twain.

(mark twain meaning, literally the middle of the river
at the deepest point)

---
Storm Haiku

Apt thief of mid-day.
Stealing the blanket of sky.
Marvel at motive.

---
Haiku About True Riches

She collected what
she could never hold on to
beauty, peace, humor.

---
After 1pm

Night takes advantage.
The fan barely whispering.
The silence of stairs.
