  Snow, Suddenly

Snow came suddenly
everywhere
changing the taste
the temperature
of the air
changing the tenure of
my heart
suddenly I had company
surrounded by the sea
of snow
soft sensations
new snow sounds
plump reassuring
cold wet kisses
sifting to the ground
finding shelter I sat down
among a grove of trees
staring up into the maze of
ease and
whirling white and at last
found peace.
