'' The Past Should Educate, Never Control ''
Your past should be used for education,
Regardless if it's wrong or right,
Knowledge is priceless it's the hub of creation,
It will keep your spirits alight.
Utilise bad memories they can inspire,
The past you don't want to forget,
For a better future you must never tire,
Don't live your life filled with regret.
To your inner self you must stay connected,
Mistakes are what help us to learn,
In life always expect the unexpected,
To all others you must show concern.
The past they say can never be changed,
Yet how you view it certainly can,
The reality of what happened can be rearranged,
You must make that your master plan.
If you were ever abused don't be afraid,
You were the victim of a terrible crime,
Though even now you may feel betrayed,
You should not be the one doing time.
Utilise your energies to turn life around,
Self-healing is a wonderful gift,
It's your own persona you will astound,
By casting bad memories adrift.
Look in the mirror and shout out loud,
I am now in control of my past,
Your achievements will make you feel so proud,
Those you feared you can now lambaste.
Through hindsight you've proved it is never too late,
These are abilities you need to extol,
Your past and your future are all part of your fate,
