An evil one is pinned,
By his own sinful talk;
As a trail where he sinned,
On the path he will walk.
But the pure one escapes,
Enjoys the good things in life;
Eating the ripest grapes,
And avoiding the strife.
He has power to speak,
And listens to the wise;
For just what he may seek,
Will open up his eyes.
A stubborn fool is peeved,
For thinking he is right;
Since he has been deceived,
With turning from the light.
Words can stab like a sword,
Since they will pierce the heart;
Not plausive to the Lord,
As such talk splits apart.
Healing words from the wise,
For truth is forever;
And they open your eyes,
As it cannot sever.
Sinful talk can do harm,
But the truth is your shield;
And will soon lose it charm,
As the deceit will yield.
