The Devil’s Advocate
Behind a mask he hides,
for he has no conscious or
soul inside.
He takes advantage of everyone
and everything. His life is a holly,
cheap and greedy ride.
He criticizes, blame and rationalizes,
Yet, he dare not peer into the mirror
of truth, for deep down he knows
he’s wasted a lifetime.
He has never had a friend; nor has
he loved anything, accept sin.
Beware… for he may reside in the
soul of someone you may know.
He’s the Devil’s Advocate and once
he takes hold, he will never let go.
