‘' We've Nobody Left To Fight ‘'
For fighting for queen and country,
What is our reward?
Redundancy and cast aside,
They've put us to the sword.
Our enemies must be laughing,
At the fact we're being destroyed,
Though they're still killing us for fun,
Most of us are now unemployed.
Destitute and homeless now,
Dumped upon the street,
You're looked on as a down and out,
By everyone you meet.
The ones who start these bloody wars,
Have shown they don't care,
While they're stll raking it in,
We are being stripped bare.
Loss of limbs and all respect,
Problems with mental health,
Our government doesn't give a damn,
They're priority is in wealth.
Sweep us under the carpet,
In the hope we'll disappear,
That may ease your conscience,
But we will still be here.
Armed forces are needed,
It's on us that you depend,
Whittle us down to nothing,
There's nobody left to defend.
If you start another conflict now,
You'll be left with no resources,
You'll be in a battle you cannot win,
As you've decimated our forces.
All done to save some money,
When will you see the light?
